The 2012 college football season?s first BlogPoll has been released, and, believe it or not, my ballot did not figure among the outliers. I know; I?m just as amazed as you are.
The top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide received 81 of 93 first-place votes, with ten of the remaining twelve going to the No. 2 USC Trojans. Among opponents appearing on the Red and Black?s schedule, the No. 12 South Carolina Gamecocks and the No. 24 Tennessee Volunteers made it into the top 25, with the Auburn Tigers, the Florida Gators, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, and the Missouri Tigers all being among the many others receiving votes.
The Georgia Bulldogs are the eighth-ranked team in Division I-A, in the bloggers? estimation. Are the Classic City Canines too high, too low, or just right? What leaps out at you as either especially odd or particularly accurate? Let us know in the comments below.
